Project Life | Week 24

Week 24 is Mathew birthday week! the big 3-0!

Here is my laoyout for this week.

Harps has been crawling backward lately and she managed to crawl under the cot.  Of course this meant FUN for Max.  They spent ages under there giggling there heads of playing peek a boo... Max has rediscovered You Tube on the iPad and has been sitting and watching the most random videos.  From Thomas the tank engine to these weird Japanese animations but he just watched it for about 20 seconds and goes on to the next one.

The funny thing is I have caught him watching old school Tom & Jerry which is funny as they are quite old and dated and still appeal to young kids :)

The above is a little story of how Maxie gave Mathew his present.  It was such  sweet and innocent moment that I had to write it down.  My little boy has the sweetest heart.

The kids and I went out to Blackwater to pick up Mathew and I got this shot of the coal trains with my iphone.   Was pretty impressed with the quality of the iphone shot and I may have been driving at the time so it turned out well.  Since there was all this blue space I thought it might be time to try a little Ali Edwards white writing and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.  Wish my handwriting was as funky as hers but oh well...

Not only  is it birthday week, it was STATE OF ORIGIN WEEK (go the blues!)  so of course it was a chance for another photo op!  I set up the time in the loungeroom and got a great shot of us just before kick off!  Love how excited everyone is about origin and it was even better that the blues WON!

oooh 1 more game to go!

Thanks for looking!

Project Life | Week 23

Wee 23 would have to be my favourite so far as its ROCKY SHOW WEEK!  Rocky Show is up there with Christmas as one of my favourite times of the year.  It reminds me of the Easter Show in Sydney but on a smaller scale which is a good thing.

Here is my layout for Week 23:

We met up with Ana and the boys and went to Crazy Joker.  We made the mistake of going on a weekend as it was absolutely packed.  I love the photo of Max on the tractor with Pop.  I love going up there as he just follows his Pop around the yard.

Max seriously has an addiction to my shows...  I couldnt resist taking a photo.  He makes me laugh without even trying that boy :)

On Thursday, I went to a local psyhcic.  She reads your tea leaves and she was pretty spot on some things and way off on others.  It was actually nice to just get out of the house for the morning.  That view as you are driving into Emu Park is absolutely stunning!  Makes me want to live there if it wasnt so far out of the way.  Gorgeous.

I asked Maxie to draw a picture for Pops birthday card and I told him to draw Pop and this is what he came up with!  It blew me away as this is his very first drawing that you can actually see what it was!  He was just drawing circles for a while there but this was amazing....  Wish I could have kept it! Love how he put little dots for the toes...

ROCKY SHOW PHOTOS!

I took so many photos at the show I wasn't sure how best to include them all.  I decided I would use some of my 8x8 page protectors and do them as a collage as its the best way to include many photos in a small space.

Printed and placed in a the 6x12 page protectors...

I had these photos from the show printed out at Harvey Norman as they had a special on 8x12's and just trimmed them up.  They are a little dark but overall I am happy with how it turned out :)

This is final page for Week 23.  I bought the kids these bath paints and they were a hit!  They loved being able to make a mess of it all and of course B just tried to eat it :|

Thank gosh strawberries are a bit cheaper this week as thats Max's flavour of the week. He cannot get enough of them...

Thanks for looking!

Project Life | Week 22

Nothing too overly exciting happened this week but I still managed to take heaps of photos so I decided to do a 4 layout spread and even included an insert.

Here is Week 22:

The weather was gorgeous this week so we too the kids for a bike ride.  It was lovely.   It was also the Queens Jubliee celebration ( not sure what that exactly means lol) and so I included these adorable printables.

I have 6x12 page protectors and I really wanted to do something with them. Max has been so good with letting go of some of his comforts(dummies, bottles) and this week was 'sleeping in his own bed'.  I really felt like I had something I wanted to get off my chest so I thought I might try and go a little deeper lol.  I think the Ali Edwards 31 Project has brought it out in me :)  I am a little behind in the project but this weeks PL was as a big job but Ill catch up. Fingers Crossed.

I LOVE the photo of Max in the bath.  Shows what happens when I turn my back. The little cheeky monkey had poured more bubble bath in and there were bubbles everywhere.  Max is flat out staying in the bath for 2 minutes, but that night - could not get him out.

I also bought B her first little Cabbage Patch doll.  I had one growing up and couldnt resist getting her one.  It smells just like mine used to. Just the smell of it brings back so many memories.

This layout is mainly from the weekend. We had such a good weekend with meeting Jack and Lucas at Crazy Joker. OMG it was packed but it was so good just letting the kids go wild.  On Sunday, we headed to the farm to see Nan and Pop. Max got to go on the tractor with Pop and help with some gardening. He is such a Pops little boy. Everything is about Pop.  Harps even got her first taste of chocolate and she could not get enough. All over her face and fingers. Priceless.

I picked up Max from kindy on Friday and this is how I found him.  He had made this adorable cape and face painted like Batman, although he kept telling me he was Spiderman.  I love when he has such a good day with the kids at kindy.  Makes it all worth it.  He has gotten better telling me all the things he did during the day.  I had to include the photo of Max in my shoes.  He has a hat and shoe obsession so of course he has to try on my shoes.  He makes me laugh like no one does.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look.  Would love any ideas or suggestions you may have :)

Project Life | Week 21

Wow winter was really here this week.  Mathew was home for the week as they are still on strike plus with days off, so it was nice to just chill at home.

We went shopping for winter clothes for the kids.  Love shopping for new wardrobes for the kids.   I started the Ali Edwards 31 project - better late than never.  I am really enjoying it and just want to use it to improve my journalling.  I take heaps of photos and dont really write down the stories or funny conversations.

On Wednesday night, I went to a parent night at Maxs daycare which was great as it was talking about how they educate the kids and how to read to your kids.  This has lead us to spend more time reading to Max and even his first trip to the library.

Harps turned 9 months this week :(  Time is going too fast.  She even started sleeping unwrapped this week.

Max has been obsessed with The Simpsons lately and when Mathew asked him what does Bart say, his response was 'Bite my pants!' think that was meant to be 'eat me shorts' lol

Harps has been all about  Peppa Pig.  If Peppa is on, dont even try talking to her as she is in the Peppa Pig zone. Its precious just watching her smile and giggle along with Peppa and George.

Project Life | Week 20

This week was pretty uneventful so there's nothing real exciting. This week mainly includes photos from Friday afternoon when we went to the farm and I got to take some gorgeous photos of the kids, Molly and her horse.

Here's my layout for this week:

I didn't really want to add many embellishments as I thought the photos are nice as is.

Project Life | Week 19

We had such a good week with Mothers Day and May Day so it was all about family this week which I loved.

Highlights for this week

- A lovely Mayday Monday spent at Rocky Botanical Gardens with the Baxters and Laura - gorgeous :)

- A new haircut for Max

- Mothers Day

- A visit from our gorgeous friend Megan and Sarah

Here is my layout for Week 19:

I included a before and after shot of Maxs haircut... he usually HATES  getting it done but we said if he sat still we would buy him a truck. When you make promises like that he ALWAYS remembers.  There is no getting away with it.  Also, The Real Housewives of New Jersey has started again which I am super excited about.  I dont really watch that much tv but LOVE that show....  the trashier the better.

I used these 6x12 page protectors to put in a collage of our day at the Botanical Gardens on Monday with the Baxters and Laura.  Was such a gorgeous day and had a little BBQ.  Will have to make more of an effort to do it more often.  Im even thinking of having Harps 1st birthday party there as its so nice.

I made another A4 collage from Mothers Day.  Was such a lovely day being spoilt.  Mathew and the kids got me this necklace that I have been wanting for ages with all their names on it... Love it!

Officially the best mum in the World - certificate to prove it.

We had a lovely visit from the Walker twins... so nice to catch and see what young people are doing lol...

I just included a little story as although Harps is a happy baby all round, she is especially happy at bath time... she could stay in there for hours if I let her.

This is a quote I saw on Pinterest and we can relate to is at this stage in our lives.  It really puts things in perspective.

I have an addiction to buying Harps handmade gorgeous clothes and took this shot and am in love with it.  She is just so photogenic and could photograph her all day :)

Project Life | Week 18

Highlights for this week...

~ went to the local park so Max could ride his tractor

~ Making a card for Poppy Thomas

~ Took the kids to the beach for a sleepover with Jack and Sam

Here are my layouts...

[caption id="attachment_394" align="aligncenter" width="408"] Max and his tractor[/caption]

I wanted to add this photo of Maxie on his tractor - he was so happy just cruising around the park on his trailer.  It was good as the park was empty (which is strange as its beautiful) so he pretty much had free range.

I kind of just wanted to get this week done. I'm still really liking PL but just trying to get the time to sit down and actually do it.  I always make an effort to try and stop on top but lets see how long it lasts :)
