Rocky Show | 2014

Its that time of the year again - ROCKY SHOW!

We told Max he could have the day off school as we were going to go on some ride.  While driving the whole 5 mins away, he askes 'aren't we going on a plane Mum?  Arent we going to Brisbane?'  Here he was thinking we would be going to the Gold Coast to go on "rides" haha he has been so lucky to have been to Movie World so many times at his age.

I was really looking forward to it this year especially with Harps being older & being able to enjoy herself more & even go on more rides this year.

Harps was super excited to go!

'The Daggy Dog' challenge was ON!  Mathew & Darryl had a competition to see who could eat the most Daggy Dogs (or pluto pups as I call them)
I think they decided to call it quits after just 2 each lol

I had been dying to get one of these caricatures done of the kids but I never thought they would sit still long enough but they did!  I was so excited... but Max not so much haha his face when he saw he had been drawn as a 'Merman' was priceless.  He wasn't too impressed

Must remember to never shoot from this angle - stupid double chin

I love love love that Max is into his rides & not scared at all.  I thought this was a nice simple rollercoaster (perfect for B) but nope... it spun around.  Mathew wasnt a fan lol

This ride apparently wasnt scary enough for my little man

Finally got Penny in a 'selfie'

Max's favourite ride for the day - the green one with Aunty Chloe!

Another awesome family day.  I love hanging out with the crew.

Around here | May

Wow it has been a while since my last blog but I have really wanted to get on top of the memory keeping.  Life is going by way too fast and I really want to record every moment - while enjoying it of course.

This was definitely the month of sickness in our house.  Especially with Mathew working away it has been tought but we got through it. Every since leaving Airlie Beach it has been non stock doctors appointments, sick days & runny noses.

I love this little outfit I bought from 'The Little Blush'  I swear I spend more $$ on Harps wardroble then I do alone.  I love this photo as she found those 2 little dogs & carried them around with her for days.  She even called them Mia & Winston - such a sweetheart.

Nothing better than a 'Selfie Sunday'

Another day spent resting in Mums bed.  I am all Dr Mctuffin'd out!

If Max would stay in his PJs all day he would be a happy boy.

So awesome to see a smile B's face and to have her back to her old self - we missed her happy face!

I decided on a change - dark again for the cooler months

Max missed his class school photos as he was sick so I had organised for his portrait shot to be shot at another school.  I love these moments when I get one on one time with him.  I love our little chats.

This would have to be one of the best mornings of my life.  All parents were invited to a Mothers Day morning tea at school.  I had no idea what to expect.
I was greeted by Max with a glass of punch and lead to the table where it had the framed photo of him, a questionnaire about me & a handmade necklace.  It was so hard not to get teary.  He was just so excited to have his Mum there and was even more grateful that I am able to got to school things.

"Hey Mum,  this is my exercise shirt"

Peppa Pig who?  Lately its all about Dr Mcstuffin

We have been trying to make eating at the table a regular thing - I think it last one night.

Practicing his letters with Dad.  Love the way his face lights up when he gets it right.
Keep going Maxie!

I found this photo on my phone.  Harps had been playing with the self timer app - love it!

Finally - a proper big girl bed.

Even though this photo is technically April, I still had to share.  I was so happy to get a nice photo of the 4 of us FINALLY! Nothing better than a family vacay to cheer everyone up

Another big thing in May that happened for me personally was just the decision to reevaluate my business Peppermint Lane & it's future.  I am finding it hard to balance the running of the business and with being a Mum, doing housework (my house is a bombsite) and just being able to be more 'present' especially with the kids PLUS all the other things I want to do (project life etc).  I love what I do but being an online business I find that it means you have to be available 24-7 which is a struggle.

I'm not too sure what I have decided but I am thinking a break will be best for know & see what happens.
