Daily Dozen

I saw the Daily Dozen  challenge on Elizabeth Kartchner's site and  I thought today would be a perfect chance to participate. Starting at 8 am I snapped away and my goal was to use JUST the VSO app on  my iPhone 5. I usually love this app especially when there is alot of light but today was overcast my photos turned out a little dark for my liking.  If I do this challenge again, I am definitely going for bright and cheery...

Here is my take on the Daily Dozen :)



1.  Max practicing his name - so proud of him!

2. Peek  a boo!  My cheeky monkey...

3.  The kids are right into their drawing at the moment... love it.

4. Love the bond with Aunty Laura and B.

5.  The road to Mt Archer.  It was so beautiful and green after all that rain.

6. Poor B was so sick in the afternoon with high temps.  I hate when my BB is not well :)

7. Max LOVED Mt Archer - it was such a shame we couldnt stay longer but we were attacked by mosquitoes.

8.  Love our media room - and so does Max.  He is right into his cartoons and it amazes me how much he soak things up and will know every characters name.

2013 Project Life | Week 4

Oh my - what week!!!  RAIN RAIN RAIN go away!   It felt like if we weren't stuck inside due to the heat, it was the torrential rain from ex Cyclone Oswald.  What else to do when you are stuck inside - time for dress ups!  This week was officially dress up week in the Daly house. The kids were dressed up in their Optimus Prime and Wonderwoman outfits and it was the best fun.  With no power or internet, we painted, read, pretended to be transformers (why am I always the Decepticon???)  but it was actually nice to have no technology but it was good to have it back to :)

Here is Week 4

We had planned an Australia Day BBQ which was cancelled with all the rain so we all painted each others nails... he did a pretty good job actually.

I had these instagrams pics printed at 6x6 and the 2 photos below would have to be my all time favourite photos of all time.

Harper was loving the rain.  It has been so long since it rained she was fascinated by it...

Since our Australia Day was a little dull, I bought some fake tattoos to try to get in the spirit.

Found out another little trait about B that I just love.  That particular day, she sat there and drew and drew until there was no white space left on the envelope.  There is so many difference between Max and B as Max had no interest in drawing and still doesn't. Love how they both have different traits and personalities that make them their own person.

2013 Project Life | Week 3

 

2013 Project Life | Week 2

Week 2 already and its hot hot hot her in Rockhampton - bring on Winter I say :)  It has been so hot outside that they have just been able to go outside late late afternoon and they LOVE it especially after being couped up all day.

Here is Week 2:

I used my sihouette cameo this week but I find it so hard to use but practice makes perfect.  The confetti pocket from Polka Dot Creative - I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT :)  I was so excited to use it in this weeks layout...

The photo of Max with the sprinkler to me is the Summer photo of the year.  He had so much fun for ages just running around and reminds me of when I was a kid.  As much as I dislike the heat, I love the Summer memories that are created...

Maxie had his first day of Kindy :( It was like he had never left.  He was so excited to go and see his friends. We had his first ever blood nose - thankfully my lovely neighbor was over and dealt with the situation as I was more freaked out then he was!  I love how with Max that all he needs is  a band aid and its all fixed :)

2013 Project Life | Week 1

We spent the first week of 2013 on the sunny GOLD COAST on holidays (woo hoo!) so I had plenty to work with.  I had taken 500+ photos so I wanted to include as many as I could.  The best way - collages!

Here is my layout for Week 1:

Love this photos of the cousins sitting and eating iceblocks together on a hot Summer day... a photo to treasure for years to come :)

For Day 1, I used a Cathy Zielske 6x12 collage template to show our 1st day of holidays. The trip down was the worst with poor B car sick 4 times on the way down :(

Day 2 was a trip to the best place in the world IKEA - could spend all day there!  The girls were so good, even falling asleep at the same time to allow more shopping time :)

Day 3| DREAMWORLD!! What an awesome day!   It was fun to you the 6x6 page protectors to include as many photos as possible.  Im happy with how these layouts turned out.

I really wanted to journal about our holiday as we had such a great time with the family and the kids were so well behaved and they had the best time.  Max going on the Go Karts, Dreamworld were all great memories so I'm really happy to have PL to document them...

Overall I'm really happy with how this weeks layout turned out and was able to include as many photos as possible.

2013 Title Page

I finally finished my 'gold' inspired title page for 2013 and I am pretty happy with the final result.  Looks like Harper approved of it too :)
